Make Money on the Web

( Find out how to drive traffic to your site. )

Looking for ways to make money on the Internet? Tired of sorting through all of those sites that require you to jump through hoops and do stuff like work? Too bad. Most of these sites require something of you. The payout is usually a little better, usually making the site worth effort. Here are a few of my favorites. I'll add more as soon as I have a chance to try them for myself. If you a program you want to submit, see my guidelines below.

Most of the stuff should open in a new browser. If you have any problems with that, let me know at seacow@juno.com

I accept payment through PayPal!, the #1 online payment service! If you sign up, validate your account, and wire in some money, both of us can get $5. Granted, it's a lot of work, but I'm told the offer won't last long. Take it while you can. This is a great tool if you auction stuff off or you're looking to accept payments online. You may even be able to accept credit cards.

The good news is that many of the following programs allow payment via PayPal and a few require it.

This is another method of online payment that many programs seem to like to use. There doesn't seem to be a sign-up bonus, but you can refer people.

I just signed up for iKobo, but it looks similar to PayPal. Unfortunately, I don't know much about it. They haven't required any personal information, which is a good sign. You also get an ATM card to withdraw money. There aren't any bonuses aside from refering people, though, so you may have to transfer money in to use it. It also seems as though some of the programs are adding this as a payment option.
This one seems good enough. Get points by doing stuff like visiting sites and signing up for newsletters. You can redeem by check and PayPal. If you want, you can sign up for gift certificates. Conversion rates vary.
NetFlip Make money by signing up for stuff. It's a pretty simple proposition. Right? Most of the offers on NetFlip require some sort of commitment, like signing up for a credit card or buying a few books. Some offers are simply signing up for a mailing list or something, but those don't pay too well. You need at least $20 before you can get a check, which may take a while depending on what you go for.

Join zWallet.com

Here, you get paid for reading and sending e-mail message and referring others. The amount is small, but what do you expect? In theory, you could use this address for mailing lists, but I doubt it would help much. You'd have to be reading several hundred messages a day to make it worth anything.
They only pay for visiting sites and you need to visit five sites to get a penny, but they do pay every month. I just got a cent from them.
SearchCactus seems to be similar to NetFlip in that you can sign up for offers. The difference is that money seems to take a while to get credited to your account. There's also a search engine, but don't expect too much cash from that.
Boxfrog.com pays you a small amount for giving away free email accounts. This link seems to be for webmasters. This link is for those that want the account.
With ItPaysToLearn, you take quizzes and you can get points depending on accuracy and difficulty. Quizzes earn between ten and fifty points depending on difficulty and accuracy. There are also other methods of earning points, such as reading mesages. When you feel you have enough, you can either use the points to get stuff or sell them to other members.
Payout doesn't seem to be that high, but if you like playing games and stuff, you'll be ok. As usual, you'll need referrals to get anywhere.
CashClicking is great for webmasters. You get credits for visiting sites and you get visitors to your site. You can withhold part of the credits to sell to others, but don't expect a windfall unless you refer others. You get five levels, each earning you ten percent.
SpiderMetrix has all sorts of short surveys, questions, and occasionally contests. It's hard to earn points, but there are a variety of prizes that don't require too much. (They do have cash, too.)
Do you like to write? Want to get paid for your opinions? Try Epinions. It's American, but you can redeem from any country. The minimum is $10 for American addresses and $100 for all others. Check the help section for more details.

Ok. Here's the part where I tell you how to send stuff to me. If you know of a site where you can make money on the web, send it to seacow@juno.com and leave the subject as is. That way, I'll know it's not spam. I'm not looking banner ads right now. What I really want is distributed processing programs that work like SETI@home, but pay. If you know of any, send those to me rush delivery.
